Amazing food served by very attentive and polite staff. I had the langustine, followed by the delicious garlic prawns. The sauce was not aggressively garlic, while complementing the prawns perfectly. I enjoyed the creme brulé with a glass of the locally distilled triple sec. My wife enthused about her moules mariniere. Portion sizes were plentiful without being belly busting.

The manger had his act together and knew exactly which tables were booked and promptly seated us just inside the door. We had an amazing menu presented and took advantage of the 3 course meal. I had oysters, sea bream with rosemary and salt, rice, vegetables, and greens, and cheese plate. My husband had smoked salmon, roasted duck breast, and sherbet with Grand Mariner. We ordered lovely rose in a carafe and Calvados as a digestif. I would not hesitate to return to this lovely restaurant!Visited in August 2020

Great food here. We had the set menu, and we were full and very happy with everything. Great service, and great value for money. The mussels were very popular and with plentiful portions.

My wife and I wanted a good quality evening meal but not posh haute cuisine. We chose Grand Bleu after a bit of looking around - the area is touristy and there are lots of crêpe-type places. GB was excellent: the food was very good, there is a varied but not excessively long menu, fair price (18.50 three course fixed menu was fine), excellent friendly service, proper restaurant but not at all stuffy. Would go again.
Excellent food and friendly but professional service and the fixed-price menus are very good value. Highly recommended. Book ahead, though.

Comfortable ambience. Service is also very good. Mussels and $18.50 set menu were delicious and reasonably priced
Thankyou for a superb meal with lovely staff. It made our last evening in the beautiful town of Saumur very pleasant. I highly recommend.
